What is a composite front door?

What are UPVC front doors?

UPVC doors are made from unplasticised polyvinyl chloride, which is a strong plastic material which is reinforced with other strong materials.

So, what’s the difference?

Cost

If you are working with a lower budget, UPVC doors are the ones to look at. They are generally easier to make and the materials are cheaper to source meaning that you can get them at a better price than composite doors.

That being said, you can still get a wide range of designs and colours that can accentuate your home a create a lovely starting space for your home.

Look and feel

As composite doors can be made from more aesthetically materials such as wood and aluminium, they can be tailored to have a more modern and complimentary look. This comes with the cost of the door, the more you spend the better your door will look.

Composite doors are made to be much thicker than UPVC doors and they are made in a way that makes them extremely secure.
